Open Letter To New EFCC Chairman: Obaseki Should Be Investigated Over The Whereabouts Of His Commissioner Held For Fraud.

Mohammed Umar,

Acting EFCC Chairman.

Dear Sir,

Obaseki Should Be Investigated Over The Whereabouts Of His Commissioner Held For Fraud.

Sir my name is Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah and I am a citizen of Edo State, let me start by congratulating you for being appointed as the new acting chairman of EFCC.

It is indeed refreshing to note that your emergence is well deserved as confirmed reports attest to your experience and competence.

Sir Nigerians are seriously craving for the right leader at the helms of affairs in EFCC who can lead the agency to the happiness of the common man on the street, may your tenure be a reference point in the annals of our history in bringing corruption to a standstill.

May we have a purpose to celebrate you both locally and internationally.

Sir, there is this worrisome issue of Edo State commissioner for arts and culture, Mr Osazee Osemwegie Ero who was arrested by special forces of the INTERPOL over alleged money laundering.

It is alleged he was arrested with the sum of $2 million.

Sir, it is also in the public domain that the proceeds of that funds MIGHT be directly linked to Edo State treasury.

More worrisome is the claims by the family and constituents of the commissioner about his unknown whereabouts and innocence in the whole saga.

Protest upon protest has been carried out in the past seeking to draw the attention of the relevant law enforcement agencies to begin a probe into this slander.

Sir as you settle down please look into this pressing issue, this case should be brought to a logical conclusion so Edo people can actually know what is going on.

I am aware that Obaseki’s administration is doing everything within its powers to suppress the truth on the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Ero.

I pray you to use your esteemed office to begin a thorough investigation on this pressing issue in a view to bringing to justice all those involved in the pilfering of Edo State resources.

Please accept the assurance of my highest regards.

Yours faithfully,

Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah

Benin City.

Edo State.
