Trouble Looms As Civil Society Group Writes Petition To Edo State Government ,FAAN ,Others Over Regulatory Infractions

A civil society group in Edo State the Talakawa Parliament has written a petition to the Edo State Government, FAAN and other regulatory bodies over the flagrant abuse of town planning regulations, impunity and sitting of a fuel and gas station in an inflammable area.

According to the group who addressed the petition to His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki the executive Governor of Edo State, the proposed fuel station falls short of the town planning idea and is unsuitable to be situated in the said location along Airport Rd Benin City.

The group gave eight cogent reasons which makes it unsustainable for the fuel station to be located at the ever-busy Airport Road.

The group called on the Edo State Government to immediately intervene for the general good of the society.

The petition was personally signed by the speaker of the Talakawa movement Marxist Kola Edokpayi.
